Summer PD: Teaching Type 2 Diabetes in Health and Biology classes
Location: Genome Sciences, University of Washington, Seattle
Dates: Monday, July 8, 2019 to Tuesday, July 9, 2019
Time: 8 am - 4 pm

Spend one-day (July 8) or two-days (July 8 and 9) in Seattle with GSEO to learn how the phenomenon of type 2 diabetes can be used to teach about nutrition, homeostasis, population genetics, gene-environment interaction, and more. Participants will learn from scientists, have hands-on experiences with teaching activities, receive a stipend, and more.

A Curriculum Development session will take place July 10 and 11 for teachers who choose to apply for the additional days.
